About our Founder & Master Nutritionist, Katherine Lawrence
Globally Recognized Nutritionist
Board Certified Autism Specialist (BCAS) with more than 17 years of experience teaching nutrition for disease prevention. In addition to certifications from Stanford Medicine in Nutrition Science, Cornell University in Plant-Based Nutrition, and Harvard Medical School Health & Wellness program, focusing on designing sustainable nutrition plans, she has worked personally for Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Neal Barnard with PCRM, featuring her story in several of Dr. Barnard’s books.
While working as an aerospace engineer in 2006, Katherine was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis, ovarian and uterine cysts. She was told there was no cure for her condition, that she was completely infertile, and that a total hysterectomy was the only solution. Through complete dietary transformation, she was able to reverse her condition and go on to have three healthy boys. After this remarkable recovery, Katherine uprooted her life and became dedicated to bringing the power of nutrition to the masses.
Katherine has taught nutrition classes in person to over 20,000 students in North Texas. Starting in 2015, she built a multi-million-dollar direct sales business using the nutrition classes she created. She perfectly balanced educating as many people as possible on plant-based nutrition and having a sustainable business model to support this mission. Her knack for creating exciting and engaging classes has inspired many to change the trajectory of their health journey, with some of her most popular class topics being Ovarian Cancer Prevention & Survival, Sleep, Food Addiction, and more.
In 2022, she founded Food Saved Me Institute when shifted her focus to educating others on how to do the same for themselves and how to help spread the message of whole food, plant-based nutrition while building a successful business. In August 2024, Katherine completed her Harvard Medical School Health & Wellness program, focusing on designing sustainable nutrition plans for patients. This will help strengthen FSMI's current partnership programs with doctors and oncologists who want to bring important nutrition information directly to their patients!
