MEET your instructors

Katherine Lawrence

Katherine Lawrence is a globally recognized nutritionist with more than 17 years of experience teaching nutrition for disease prevention and is a Board Certified Autism Specialist (BCAS). In addition to certifications from Stanford Medicine in Nutrition Science and Cornell University in Plant-Based Nutrition, she has worked personally for Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Neal Barnard, featuring her story in several of Dr. Barnard’s books. She is also a TEDx speaker.

Patricia Thomson

Patricia R. Thomson, Ph.D. (Dr. T), is a certified nutritionist and expert in plant-based nutrition, medicinal plants, and nonprofit management. She holds a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences, with a focus on toxicology. Dr. T is the author of  WFPB20 and the Food as Medicine Five Day Lifestyle Plan. Dr. T co-founded major events such as The Best Plant-Based Conference Ever! and the Virtual Food as Medicine Summit which featured dozens of nutrition and wellness experts from around the world. She has over 25 years of nonprofit leadership and has taught 1000s of individuals about healthy nutrition and wellness lifestyles, Her expertise extends to chronic disease prevention, nutrition for neurodivergent individuals, and wellness education.  She is a board member of the Capital Region Vegan Network.
